# MediaLock

> MediaLock is a paywall and content-protection service for creators, built by PandaBuilt.US (Sturbridge, Massachusetts, USA). Creators upload a video, song or file; MediaLock encrypts it and gives one permanent paywall link. Viewers unlock it with a free email preview, a password, a pay-per-view rental or a lifetime purchase, and pay the creator directly. Creators keep 100% of every sale.

## Key facts
- What it protects: video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM and more), audio (MP3, WAV, FLAC and more), and any file sold as a digital download (ZIP, PDF, presets, e-books, software). Up to 2 GB per file.
- How video is protected: converted to HLS and encrypted with AES-128 in short pieces; the key is given only to a valid license holder at play time. Downloads are encrypted with AES-256.
- License checks: every play is checked live; licenses can expire by days or by number of views, are bound to the browser that unlocked them, and are refused when the player is embedded on other websites.
- Access options: free watch, free email preview (time-limited), password gate, rental (price + days), lifetime access, view limits, digital download.
- Payments: buyers pay the creator through the creator's own PayPal or Stripe (confirmed automatically) or Venmo / Cash App (creator approves). MediaLock takes no commission.
- Buyers need no account. Creators get an audience list with CSV export.
- Limits: like any web streaming protection, it cannot stop screen recording, and a downloaded file is an ordinary file once delivered.
